The OIG in 2012 will continue to address previous years' problem areas, but it currently appears to be taking a closer look into physician billing, specifically the use of modifiers that impact reimbursement.  

Big news coming from the AMA president to stop ICD-10 implementation before the 2013 deadline. 

As a follow-up to the AMA announcement regarding ICD-10, CMS held a provider call today to address questions and official responses from the government.  

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will host a National Provider Call on ICD-10 Implementation Strategies and Planning on Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 1:30-3 pm ET.
