Join Us This Tuesday - Parenting for Resilience - Free Webinar

Giving back to our GCS clients and community, we are delighted to sponsor this free webinar, Parenting for Resilience, January 16th at 6pm Mountain Standard Time. Join us for a Zoom presentation and discussion with Parent Coach and Therapeutic Consultant, Vashti Summervill.

Vashti is avid life-long learner with a heart for doing her part to ease suffering. It’s a hard time to grow up. The challenges our kids face are very different from those we faced just thirty or forty years ago – or even five years ago. Parents are navigating a “wild west,” facing challenges past generations have not faced—especially modern relationships with teens and young adults.

Vashti is a Qualified Level 1 Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Teacher (MBSR) through Brown University, trained in Youth Mental Health First Aid, ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training), and a QPR Instructor (Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Training). She received her Master’s of Music/Vocal Performance from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, and holds an Elementary Teaching Certificate with a K-12 Music Endorsement.

This 90-minute event will highlight some of the issues impacting mental health and tools parents can use for cultivating greater resilience and deeper connection.
